So, I called to talk to my Oncology nurse today and I didn't get any further than the receptionist. lol It's okay, though, because I really like her and she gave me great advice, probably nothing more than my nurse would have given me, anyways. First she said she would be concerned about having a device placed inside when it mentions about compromised immune system as well, but then she said the best thing to do is bring up all of my concerns to my gynecologist and then say to her that she needs to call and speak to my Oncologist before any decisions are made. That way there is some Doctor-to-Doctor contact and he can go over my file with her. She said I'd be surprised how quickly she'll move on things when I tell her that.
It's definitely good to do your own research and be your own advocate, but there is only so much you can do. I am, however, contacting a Naturopath tomorrow to see what they can offer as well. If I can fix my issues while avoiding hormones or other medications or invasive medical procedures you can bet that I'm going to do it.
